Huge Range of Office Furniture Products to Choose From!!
11 Sep 2013
Imported ‘v’ locally made, price ‘v’ quality, will it fit? – are just 3 of the many questions facing decision makers when they buy office furniture in this day and age.
With the wide range of brand choices now available it has become a potential minefield for simply deciding what to buy.
Here are 10 handy hits that will help you make sure you ‘get it right first time’;
- Does your supplier have a wide range of office products and brands available? This might save you time and will make your supplier more independent
- If your supplier doesn’t stock a particular product – does the supplier offer to source this product for you. Their willingness to go the extra mile is proof of their customer focus
- Does your supplier offer to visit your site to help with those critical measurements – to make sure your furniture will fit. Is this an obligation-free service?
- Does your supplier have a proven track record? Ask for reference sites of previous customers. This will give you a line on the quality of the supplier’s products and services
- Does your supplier offer layout advice and drawings? Is this an obligation-free service?
- Does your supplier offer customisation – it is very useful if your supplier can manufacture furniture to order for those specific operational requirements or hard to use spaces
- Watch for hidden costs – such as freight, minimum order value or installation. Make sure there are no cost surprises
- Does your supplier offer installation? Most furniture is delivered flat-pack and the last thing you will want is disruption to your business while staff have to move and assemble furniture
- What is your supplier’s return policy? Dealing with unsuitable or faulty product shouldn’t be your responsibility
- What is the product warranty for the individual products you are purchasing? Does your supplier assume responsibility for managing the warranty or is this left with you. For the supply package to be total your supplier will look after this for you
These factors will ultimately determine your value for money and a few suppliers get it right – but most don’t!!
